Complete and Partial Dentures

Dentures are probably the most common way world wide to replace missing teeth, especially when a patient is missing many teeth. They are an affordable, removable prosthetic that can be worn relatively easily by the patient. In addition, dentures are the most affordable, especially when compared with other alternatives such as dental fixed bridgework or implant-supported restorations.   A complete or full denture is one which replaces all of the natural teeth in either the upper or lower jaws. Complete dentures are held in place through suction, or the close adaptation of the denture base to the surface area of your tissues.   A partial denture fills in the spaces created by lost or missing teeth and is attached to your natural teeth with metal clasps or devices called precision attachments.   Denture repairs are available; in addition, loose dentures can be stabilized with dental implants eliminating worries that your denture may slip out of place
